The BMC Touring kit! A sturdy cardboard box stuffed with all those items that were most likely to give up on your shiny new BMC car. With the contents of a BMC touring kit it was possible for any competent "Enthusiast" to repair his motor car and get back on the road without having to speak to any of those surly foreign chappies. HURRAH! The best thing was that when you finally managed to make it back to "Blighty" you could return your touring kit to your friendly BMC dealer & he would only charge you for the parts you used.
